According to Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science of health and healing, the Kapha Dosha (humour) is primarily responsible for fat and adipose tissue in the body and therefore reducing Kapaha is the key to a successful weight loss program. Below you will find some effective tips from ayurveda to help reduce Kapha Dosha and thus battle obesity and being overweight.
Of the four dimensions of our being, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, in this article I will cover the Physical Dimension which is most important for the reduction of Kapha and the correlating reduction in weight. Weight Loss Tips from Ayurveda:
1. Ayurvedic Diet for Weight Loss:
Obviously an anti-kapha diet is the place to start when looking to lose weight. This means eating lots of fruits, vegetables, spicy foods and whole grains.
2. Exercise for Weight Loss:
The following Ayurvedic guidelines should be followed for proper exercise with regard to weight loss:
* More Exercise the Better: Kapha\’s qualities of fixed, dull, heavy, soft and cold are all negated via exercise. In other words, the more exercise you do the more you reduce Kapha and therefore fat in your body.
* Exercise Without Excessive Strain: According to Ayurveda, Kapha individuals need the most vigorous exercise, but at the same time, the exercise should never be extreme. Find a good balance between doing too little and over doing it. Breaking a nice sweat is good, but being totally breathless is probably too much.

Before considering hCG for weight loss, you should have a medical exam and discuss the treatment with a doctor. It is important to find a doctor-supported hCG weight loss program to ensure the best outcome. The doctor at the hCG treatment facility will want to do a blood workup to make sure your liver and kidneys are functioning properly as well as to get baseline measurements of your cholesterol level.
There are different protocols of treatment available, but in all protocols, there is much more to achieving success than just receiving the hCG injection. If you are overweight and serious about weight loss and regaining control of your health, your diet is just as important to your success and it is important that you listen to the guidance of your weight loss counselor.
The hCG hormone works by preventing the body from going into “starvation mode” when you reduce your calorie intake. This means that when you receive the hCG injection, you will have to follow a carefully prescribed diet that allows you to decrease how many calories you are consuming while increasing your activity level. Because hCG tells your body to tap into fat stores, you will not feel hungry or tired during the treatment. In fact, you may feel more energetic as the fat stores are released. This is a treatment where the more overweight you are, the more dramatic your initial weight loss results can be.

It seems that children these days eat more junk food and exercise less which leads to chubby kids. Helping your child lose weight can be a challenge. Follow these weight loss for children tips.
1. Insist they have a healthy breakfast: a combination of protein, fruit, and a carbohydrate. The breakfast doesn’t have to be fancy. Peanut butter on toast topped with apple slices with a glass of milk will start their day off right. Another alternative would be a hard boiled egg and fruit smoothie, made with fresh fruit, and half an English muffin. If your child insists they don’t have time for breakfast, make the meal the night before and leave in the fridge to grab and go. You kid doesn’t like breakfast food? Well breakfast doesn’t have to be bacon, eggs, and hash browns. A slice of pizza will do just fine if it’s heavy on the tomato sauce and light on the cheese.
2. Use single portion healthy snacks and have them conveniently available. Non salted pretzels, low sodium saltine crackers, carrot sticks, single size servings of low fat cottage cheese all make energy filled snacks. The problem is when the child eats nearly a box of pretzels. Prepackaged single serving portions help avoid that. Package the servings yourself in zip lock baggies to save on money.

Weight Loss Programs Vs. Detox Programs
WEIGHT LOSS
I have had my share of battling with weight loss. Dieting or changing your eating habits can definitely be a pain, but I guess it’s just like everything else in life when it all boils down to it, how bad do you want change? I have never been obese, but a little overweight and at times I just didn’t feel comfortable in my skin.
So I went on several diets off and on over the past 10 years and the most I ever lost at one time was 20 lbs. It took me about 1 mth. And of course I gained it all back plus a little extra once I went off of the diet. Plus at the time I was taking chromium picolinate pills which was a bad idea, that stuff would have my heart racing at times.
But now that I’m a little older, I know that you can eat and lose weight probably twice as fast as you would on these half-starvation fad diets. And I do mean eat well. Now, I don’t believe that everyone who is overweight should lose weight, if your happy and healthy, GREAT! I know people who weight probably at least 100 lbs. more than me and can beat me if we were in a race.

There’s no question that meal replacement diets are very popular today. Dieters just no longer have time to research and prepare separate foods, nor do many of us want to be burdened with counting calories or points. Meal replacement plans (which are often prepackaged and ready to eat) take most of the work out of the equation and allow us to focus on other things like exercise and lifestyle changes. This article will discuss the characteristics of some of the more popular replacement programs to help you determine which may best address your wants and needs. All the diets mentioned in this article provide at least some of your food for you. All of the foods on these diets are low in calories and carbs and high in protein.
The Best Diet Plan If You Want Lots Of One On One Support: Most people cite Jenny Craig as the diet plan which offers the most face to face education and support. This program encourages you to meet with a counselor once per week at one of their weight loss clinics. Although the program is among the most expensive of all of the diets I’ll mention, (since it requires membership fees on top of food costs), most feel this extra money is well spent since it’s providing accountability and support with a person qualified to provide it. Both Nutrisystem and Medifast offer online support, but Jenny is among the few that allows for regular face to face contact.

Quick Weight Loss Program — Tips to find good ones
If you are looking in to a lose weight quick program, there are a few things that you should keep in mind when making your decision:
A weight loss program should include all of the foods recommended by the United States Department of Agriculture and should allow the dieter to eat enough calories to keep their metabolism working full force.
Set goals- If the program you are looking in to wants you to write down your weight loss goals, you may have found the right diet plan. Studies have shown that by setting goals for yourself, and writing them down, you are more apt to stick with your diet and reach your goals. Try setting small goals each week (such as to eat less fat or lose 1.5 pounds), these mini goals are not as overwhelming as larger goals, like losing 50 pounds in three months, or whatever your final goal may be. Also, by achieving these smaller goals, we see that we are making progress and are more likely to continue trying than if we don’t set any.

How to Achieve Permanent Weight Loss Part 2
The missing link for long term weight loss
We now make our way to another test to help you choose a nutrition program for long term weight loss, and it does not actually involve nutrition. The missing link for long term weight loss is exercise. Exercise is the essential component of long term weight loss. Many diet programs do not contain an exercise component, which means they are losers for long term weight loss from the very start. Any program that has its focus on weight loss but does not include a comprehensive exercise plan is like buying a car without tires, or a plane without wings. People who have successfully kept the weight off overwhelmingly have incorporated exercise into their lives, and the studies that look at people who have successfully lost weight and kept it off invariably find these people were consistent with their diet and exercise plans. If you’ve been thinking about how to achieve stomach weight loss, you may be thinking it’s just too hard or complicated for the average person to achieve. While there are certainly lots of things you need to get right, this is not the case! Here are 3 easy things you can start going NOW to get going on your stomach weight loss.
1. No more Milk or Juice
If you’re really serious about stomach fat loss, you have probably already cut out sugary sodas and coffee drinks from your diet. However, you may still be thinking that milk and juice are acceptable things to drink. Think again!
While these are decent drinks for general health, they are horrible for people trying to achieve stomach weight loss. They contain lots of sugars, which spike your insulin and make it impossible for your body to lose fat. If anything, they can make certain people GAIN fat!
2. Start Walking!
It may seem silly to think that walking, a relatively easy thing to do, would help so much with stomach weight loss, but it does! If you start taking a 30-45 minute walk EVERY single day, the burned calories will add up and really show in your body. This will be especially true if you’re accustomed to doing very little or no exercise.
